New starters

Things to do as part of your on-boarding

1. Read this hand book.

2. Make sure you're invited to Slack and all the appropriate Slack channels.

3. Send Simon a brief bio and head-shot photo, so he can update the people page of the website.

4. Get logins to our computational servers, and the network attached storage (ask Simon for this).

5. Do a building induction.

6. Do a lab induction (TC, and anything else you might need).

7. Get key fob access to the building.

8. Get your ID card printed.

9. Email the departmental administrator (BSMS Medicine and Anatomy DA [e-mail]), and the building administrator (Erika Cummings [e-mail]), introducing yourself to get onto the main mailing lists.

10. Set up your data management folders, backups and procedures (see Record Keeping and Data Management).

11. Bookmark the Reesarch Events Calendar (and add it to your outlook/phone's calendars with these instructions).

12. Add the "Essential reading list" to your personal reading list.
